Fantasy Player Projections

The Broncos' defense scored twice at Carolina, and it sacked Cam Newton a season-high seven times in Week 10. The last time this defense scored twice was in Week 6 against San Diego, and the Broncos play the Chargers in Week 11.

This defense held Chicago to six points in last Monday's game. The Texans will make the Jaguars look foolish.

The Buccaneers came up big against the Chargers in returning a blocked punt and an interception for touchdowns. They also recorded two sacks and have seven sacks in three games. The Panthers allowed seven sacks to Denver in Week 10, so consider the Buccaneers a sleeper in larger fantasy formats.

Matt Cassel ranks among the leaders in interceptions (12) even though he hasn't played a full season. The Bengals will be the latest beneficiaries of the Chiefs' generosity.

The Rams put together a surprising effort against the 49ers in Week 10, registering five sacks. They couldn't force any turnovers, however, and they haven't been able to intercept a pass since Week 4. That will change against the Jets.

Last week, Dallas scored on defense and special teams. That's more than fantasy owners can ask for in a given week, but the Browns are generous enough to provide a turnover or two.

The Ravens will be aggressive on passing downs, trying to frustrate Byron Leftwich. That should lead to increased sacks and possibly a turnover or two.

The Falcons couldn't stop the Saints in Week 10, allowing 31 points and almost 150 rushing yards. They should have a much better time against the Cardinals, who are still dealing with injuries to their starting quarterback and running back.

The Jets scored on a fumble return for a touchdown against Seattle and recorded four sacks. The Rams scored 24 points on the Niners' vaunted defense in Week 10, showing great improvement from earlier this season. New York's defense is a borderline fantasy starter once again.

The 49ers had an uncharacteristically bad day against the Rams, allowing them to score 24 points and nearly pass for 300 yards. They face a tougher matchup against the Bears Monday night, but this defensive unit is still too good to sit -- especially if Jason Campbell starts over Jay Cutler (concussion).

Anyone who watched the Bengals dismantle the Giants last week knows better than to bet against Marvin Lewis' club in Week 11. The Chiefs won't slow Cincy.

A rookie quarterback and an opponent that has lost all hope for 2012 … The Redskins will be happy to take on this challenge.

The Dolphins had a forgettable afternoon against the Titans, with just one sack, no forced turnovers and 37 points allowed in Week 10. The Bills scored 31 total points in two games against the Dolphins last season, but the Dolphins' defense is an inconsistent fantasy play for now.

As expected, the Bills got torched once again by the Patriots in Week 10, allowing 37 points. The Dolphins come to Buffalo in Week 11, and the Bills allowed last year's Miami team to score 65 points against them in two games. Look elsewhere for fantasy help.

The Cardinals had a tough time with the Packers in Week 9, and things aren't any better in Week 11 with the Falcons hosting. They have allowed 25 points on average over their past three games.

The Saints had one interception and one sack against the Falcons in Week 10, but they also allowed more than 25 points for the seventh time this season. Look elsewhere for fantasy help in Week 11.

The Bears have the top fantasy defense in the league, and they have scored eight defensive touchdowns. If the 49ers have to start rookie quarterback Colin Kaepernick, the Bears could score on another pick-six.

Dallas has a small amount of momentum and will look to gain ground on the Giants in the NFC East. Cleveland will offer little resistance.

Clay Matthews (hamstring) has joined the long list of Packers defenders on the mend. If he misses this contest it could have a domino effect on the rest of this unit.

The Packers' offensive line still has holes, and the Lions can afford to dismiss the running game. Detroit will make a run at Aaron Rodgers, trying to disrupt one of the league's best passing attacks.

Don't look past the Colts. Andrew Luck has shown he can handle his own, even against the best defenses, and the Patriots are by no means one of the league's best defenses.

The Texans gained 411 yards against Jacksonville in the Week 2 meeting, which resulted in 27 points. The Jaguars collected no sacks or turnovers.

The Raiders laid down for the Ravens, who scored 55 points against them in Week 10. The Saints have one of the best offenses in the NFL, making the Raiders' defense a unit to avoid.

The Colts are starting to play better on defense, and they notched four sacks in their last game. Too bad the Patriots have the fewest giveaways in the league (seven).

Much of the blame for Philadelphia's woes has fallen on Michael Vick and the offense, but the defense deserves its share. The unit has logged just 14 sacks and ranks 22nd in points allowed. The Redskins rank 11th in points scored. Uh-oh.

The league's top-ranked defense (and seventh-ranked scoring defense) may be in trouble if Joe Flacco and the Ravens perform as well as they did a week ago. Pittsburgh gave up 58 points in two losses to Baltimore last year.

The Panthers were taken apart by Peyton Manning and the Broncos for 36 points in Week 10. Carolina held the Buccaneers, their Week 11 opponent, to 16 points and 128 passing yards, with two sacks, in Week 1. This is an inconsistent fantasy defense right now.

The Chargers had a tough time with quarterback Josh Freeman and the Buccaneers, as the defense registered just one sack and no forced turnovers. Even though this defense scored against Peyton Manning and Co. in Week 6, it is not a recommended option in Week 11.
