Fantasy Player Projections

Tight Ends
1bengalsJermaine Gresham

Jermaine Gresham

5 rec, 66 yards, rec TD

Gresham has picked up his game recently, with 192 yards and a touchdown over the past three weeks. The Raiders own one of the league's worst pass defenses and last week gave up six catches and a score to Jimmy Graham.

2falconsTony Gonzalez

Tony Gonzalez

5 rec, 60 yards, rec TD

Gonzalez caught three passes for 33 yards in Week 11 against the Cardinals, just one week after blowing up against the Saints for 122 yards and two touchdowns. Gonzalez will be up against rookie strong safety Mark Barron in Week 12, and we expect solid numbers.

3eaglesBrent Celek

Brent Celek

5 rec, 60 yards, rec TD

Celek caught five passes for 42 yards in Week 11 and was one of the few Eagles who saw his production rise with rookie quarterback Nick Foles under center. Expect Celek to work as a safety net again in Week 12.

4texansOwen Daniels

Owen Daniels

5 rec, 57 yards, rec TD

The only reason Garrett Graham saw so much love last week was because Daniels was not 100 percent. This week Daniels will resume his usual workload against a Lions team that has given up touchdowns to tight ends in three of the past four games.

5vikingsKyle Rudolph

Kyle Rudolph

4 rec, 54 yards, rec TD

Rudolph and Christian Ponder have connected for six touchdowns already this season, and Ponder has shown a willingness to throw to Rudolph in the red zone, no matter how well covered he is. In this game, Ponder may have no choice; Rudolph enters the week as one of the few healthy pass-catchers on the roster.

6saintsJimmy Graham

Jimmy Graham

5 rec, 52 yards, rec TD

Graham caught a team-high six passes for 29 yards and a touchdown against the Raiders in Week 11. He has now scored in eight of 10 games this season and should do so again versus the 49ers.

7coltsDwayne Allen

Dwayne Allen

4 rec, 52 yards, rec TD

While Coby Fleener has been away, Allen has shown he can play, hauling in six passes (on 11 targets) last week alone. Allen has surpassed the 50-yard mark in three of the Colts' last four games.

8packersJermichael Finley

Jermichael Finley

4 rec, 52 yards, rec TD

Finley was targeted 11 times and registered 87 yards and a touchdown when these teams met in the Big Apple last December. He finally picked up his game last week (read: no drops) and may see more opportunities in a game important to both clubs.

9lionsBrandon Pettigrew

Brandon Pettigrew

5 rec, 47 yards, rec TD

No one expected to see Tony Scheffler get 10 targets in Week 11 -- especially not Pettigrew, who was thrown to seven times. Not to worry. Scheffler's role occasionally changes depending on the matchup, but Pettigrew's place in this offense is assured.

10raidersBrandon Myers

Brandon Myers

5 rec, 47 yards, rec TD

Opposing tight ends have caught touchdowns in three of the past five games against Cincinnati, and even though Tony Moeaki did not catch a score last week, he did lead the Chiefs in receiving. Myers could have a nice afternoon.

11patriotsAaron Hernandez

Aaron Hernandez

4 rec, 45 yards, rec TD

Hernandez's ankle continues to trouble him, and he missed his second game in a row despite also having a bye week to recover. Rob Gronkowski (forearm) is out, so the Patriots need Hernandez to play, but the early Thanksgiving game makes him a risk.

12jaguarsMarcedes Lewis

Marcedes Lewis

3 rec, 42 yards, rec TD

Most would agree Lewis' two scores last week were a fluke, but there's reason to think he can keep his touchdown streak going. The Titans have been burned by a half-dozen tight ends this season.

1349ersVernon Davis

Vernon Davis

4 rec, 35 yards, rec TD

Davis is still inconsistent from a fantasy perspective, but the Saints' defense is not good. Davis remains a good fantasy starter who could have a 100-yard game on any given week.

14titansJared Cook

Jared Cook

5 rec, 68 yards

Cook had a career day the last time he faced Jacksonville, with 169 yards and a touchdown. He could do well this week against a Jaguars defense that surrendered 159 yards and three touchdowns to Houston's tight ends in Week 11.

15cowboysJason Witten

Jason Witten

7 rec, 67 yards

In his last five home games against Washington, Witten has averaged 7.2 receptions and 80 yards. That sounds like a realistic projection for Thursday, considering he has not caught fewer than six balls in a game dating back to September.

16chiefsTony Moeaki

Tony Moeaki

5 rec, 59 yards

Moeaki was the Chiefs' co-leader in receptions with four in Week 11, but he led the team with 73 receiving yards. He's starting to become a much bigger part of the offense again, which makes him a fantasy player on the rise.

17buccaneersDallas Clark

Dallas Clark

5 rec, 55 yards

After getting just one target in Week 10, Clark was a huge part of the offense at Carolina, seeing 11 targets. He caught seven passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. Tight ends have done well against the Falcons, making Clark a nice low-end starting option.

18panthersGreg Olsen

Greg Olsen

4 rec, 55 yards

Olsen was a mild disappointment in Week 11, catching just two passes for 42 yards against the Buccaneers. He caught nine passes for more than 100 yards and two touchdowns in Week 10, but the Eagles are tough on tight ends.

19jetsDustin Keller

Dustin Keller

5 rec, 54 yards

Keller had two catches for 16 yards against the Rams. While he has been disappointing of late, he's about to face the Patriots again, who allowed him to have his best game of the season in Week 7 (seven receptions, 93 yards, one touchdown).

20billsScott Chandler

Scott Chandler

4 rec, 44 yards

Chandler is one of the riskiest fantasy tight ends on the board, in large part because he operates within one of the NFL's most inconsistent passing games. It's nearly impossible to project when he will be a viable weapon.

21chargersAntonio Gates

Antonio Gates

4 rec, 40 yards

Gates caught two passes for 17 yards at Denver in Week 11. And while the Ravens have allowed just one touchdown to tight ends this season, most Gates owners will still need to start him out of necessity.

22steelersHeath Miller

Heath Miller

2 rec, 36 yards

Fantasy owners should put Miller back in storage until Ben Roethlisberger returns to the field. He was not the same player with Byron Leftwich running the show (Miller caught just two balls last week), and probably won't have much more success working with Charlie Batch

23giantsMartellus Bennett

Martellus Bennett

3 rec, 35 yards

After catching touchdowns in each of his first three games, Bennett has gone cold since. The Packers, meanwhile, have handled opposing tight ends well this season.

24seahawksZach Miller

Zach Miller

3 rec, 34 yards

Over the past three games, Miller has nine catches for 116 yards and a touchdown. He's still just a fantasy backup tight end right now, especially with the bye weeks over.

25broncosJoel Dreessen

Joel Dreessen

4 rec, 33 yards

Dreessen caught four passes for 28 yards in Week 11, and the Broncos are really starting to spread the love. Peyton Manning completed passes to nine different receivers against the Chargers. Dreessen's production was steady, however, and he remains a decent fantasy backup.

26redskinsLogan Paulsen

Logan Paulsen

2 rec, 27 yards

Paulsen caught just one pass last week, and fantasy owners should not expect much more than that this week. Dallas protects the middle of the field well and has outstanding linebackers and safeties who can stick with Paulsen.

27brownsBenjamin Watson

Benjamin Watson

3 rec, 24 yards

Dismiss Watson's two-touchdown performance from Week 11. Fantasy owners cannot expect much from the Browns' passing game, and certainly not from their ninth-year tight end.

28broncosJacob Tamme

Jacob Tamme

3 rec, 22 yards

Tamme tied for the team lead in Week 11 with four catches against the Chargers, for 53 yards. It was his best fantasy day since Week 1, but it's tough to recommend him as a fantasy starter again until he does it regularly.

29cardinalsRob Housler

Rob Housler

2 rec, 22 yards

Housler didn't catch a pass in Week 11, and he's not someone fantasy owners should be considering.

30ramsLance Kendricks

Lance Kendricks

2 rec, 20 yards

Kendricks caught only two passes for 14 yards against the Jets. He's still not worth a look in most fantasy leagues, especially with the bye weeks over.

31bearsKellen Davis

Kellen Davis

2 rec, 19 yards

For those who lost the memo, Davis plays a minor role in the Bears' passing game, and his production (opportunity) varies week to week. Remove him from your consideration set.

32ravensDennis Pitta

Dennis Pitta

2 rec, 15 yards

Pitta caught one pass for five yards at Pittsburgh in Week 11, leaving early with a head injury. He has just one touchdown in his past seven games, and the Chargers are tough on tight ends, allowing just two scores to them all season. Stay away.

33dolphinsAnthony Fasano

Anthony Fasano

1 rec, 9 yards

Fasano has been all but forgotten it seems in the Dolphins' offense, as he has just 11 targets, four catches, 24 receiving yards and one touchdown in his past four games. Look elsewhere for fantasy help.
