Tom Brady340 pass yards, 3 pass TDs
Brady delivered his seventh 300-yard game of the season against the Jets, and he now has 12 touchdown passes in his past four games. He hasn't thrown an interception since Week 6, and he visits Miami this weekend, where he threw for 517 yards and four touchdowns in last season's opener. |
| RB | ![]() |
Stevan Ridley70 rush yards, rush TD, 1 rec, 6 rec yards
Ridley rushed for 97 yards against the Jets on Thanksgiving Day, and he scored a touchdown for the fourth consecutive game. Twice in the past three games he has come within a few yards of rushing for 100 yards. Doing that won't be easy against the Dolphins, who are pretty good against the run. |
| RB | ![]() |
Shane Vereen35 rush yards, 3 rec, 24 rec yards
Vereen had 10 rushes for 42 yards against the Jets in Week 12, but he also caught two passes, including an 83-yard touchdown reception. Even so, his fantasy value is limited to larger leagues because he doesn't score consistently and the Patriots spread the ball around. |
| WR | ![]() |
Wes Welker9 rec, 105 yards, 2 rec TDs
Welker caught seven passes for 71 yards and a touchdown against the Jets in Week 12. That was his first touchdown catch since Week 6, but now he gets to face his former team in Miami. In two games against the Dolphins last year, he caught 20 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns. |
| WR | ![]() |
Brandon Lloyd4 rec, 50 yards
Lloyd had yet another quiet game for the Patriots, making just three catches for 26 yards against the Jets. With just 116 receiving yards in his past three games, he's a WR3 in most leagues at this point. |
| WR | ![]() |
Julian Edelman3 rec, 35 yards
Edelman had two catches for 64 yards and a touchdown reception against the Jets, but he left the game with a head injury. He also returned a fumble for a touchdown and has proven to be a playmaker when he gets a chance. |
| TE | ![]() |
Aaron Hernandez6 rec, 70 yards, rec TD
Hernandez was able to return from an ankle injury against the Jets, just as the Patriots lost tight end Rob Gronkowski to a broken arm. But Hernandez was only good for two catches on three targets and 36 yards. He should improve on those figures against the Dolphins. |
| K | ![]() |
Stephen Gostkowski4 PATs, 2 FGs
Gostkowski was good for seven extra points against the Jets, but he missed his only field-goal attempt in Week 12. He remains a must-start kicker in fantasy because of the number of times New England gets in scoring position. |
| DEFENSE |
2 INTs, 2 Sacks
The Patriots' defense is red-hot in fantasy right now, posting consecutive huge games against the Colts and Jets. The Pats have five defensive or special teams touchdowns, three sacks and eight forced turnovers in that span. They'll face rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill in Week 13. |

| Pos. | Player | Projection |
| QB | ![]() |
Ryan Tannehill205 pass yards, pass TD, 2 INTs
Tannehill passed for 253 yards and led a game-winning drive against the Seahawks in Week 12. He also broke Dan Marino's team record for passing yards by a rookie quarterback in one season. The Patriots have been strong defensively in recent weeks, however. |
| RB | ![]() |
Reggie Bush65 rush yards, rush TD, 3 rec, 26 rec yards
Bush led the Dolphins once again in Week 12, with 87 rushing yards and a touchdown on 14 carries against Seattle. Daniel Thomas continues to cut into Bush's touches, but Bush remains a decent RB2 in most formats against the Patriots, who are allowing more than 100 rushing yards per game. |
| RB | ![]() |
Daniel Thomas35 rush yards, 3 rec, 25 rec yards
Thomas had nine carries for 60 yards and a touchdown and one catch for 18 yards against Seattle in Week 12. He continues to see more touches each week. The Dolphins like using him in the red zone, but his scoring is still inconsistent. |
| WR | ![]() |
Davone Bess6 rec, 65 yards, rec TD
One week after scoring his first touchdown of the season, Bess led the Dolphins with seven catches for 129 yards and another touchdown against Seattle. He's starting to click with Ryan Tannehill, especially on crossing routes over the middle, making him a WR2 option in Week 13. |
| WR | ![]() |
Brian Hartline5 rec, 52 yards
Hartline had a tough game against the Seahawks in Week 12, catching just two passes for 17 yards on five targets. He hasn't scored since his breakout game in Week 4 against the Cardinals, and Davone Bess is Ryan Tannehill's favorite receiver right now. |
| TE | ![]() |
Charles Clay3 rec, 35 yards
Clay had the breakout game many had been expecting, catching six balls for 84 yards and a touchdown against the Seahawks in Week 12. The second-year tight end is becoming a bigger part of the offense than Anthony Fasano right now. |
| TE | ![]() |
Anthony Fasano1 rec, 7 yards
Fasano hasn't caught a touchdown since Oct. 28, and he hasn't caught more than one pass in a game since Oct. 14. Look elsewhere. |
| K | ![]() |
Dan Carpenter2 PATs, FG
Carpenter was good from 43 yards out as time expired against Seattle, and he kicked three extra points in Week 12 on his 27th birthday. He has just two field goals in his past three games, though, with five extra points. Look elsewhere for fantasy help. |
| DEFENSE |
Sack
Miami's defense was strong against Seattle, allowing 312 total yards while keeping the Seahawks under 100 yards rushing. The Dolphins also have five sacks in their past two games, although the Patriots' offense is just too strong to consider starting the Dolphins in Week 13. |
