Philip Rivers200 pass yards, pass TD, 2 INTs
Rivers was a disappointment once again in Week 15 against Carolina, throwing for just 121 yards and a touchdown. He fumbled four times and lost two of them. The Jets are very good against the pass, so don't think about using Rivers in your fantasy playoffs. |
| RB | ![]() |
Curtis Brinkley60 rush yards, 3 rec, 20 rec yards
Brinkley carried the ball six times for 42 yards in Week 15 against the Panthers. He'll likely see more time at tailback now that Ryan Mathews (clavicle) is out for the season and Ronnie Brown is dealing with a hamstring injury. |
| RB | ![]() |
Jackie Battle22 rush yards, 1 rec, 6 rec yards
Since Ryan Mathews is done for the year with a broken clavicle and Ronnie Brown missed Week 15 with a hamstring injury, the Chargers likely will use Curtis Brinkley and Jackie Battle more. Brinkley played better against the Panthers, so we're betting on him in Week 16. |
| RB | ![]() |
Ronnie Brown10 rush yards
Ryan Mathews broke his left clavicle against the Panthers and he's out for the season. That means the Chargers will have to rely on other running backs for the final two weeks. Brown was out for Week 15 with a hamstring injury, so it's hard to rely on him even though he'd be the clear choice if healthy. |
| WR | ![]() |
Danario Alexander6 rec, 75 yards, rec TD
Alexander was targeted three times against Carolina in Week 15, but he didn't make one catch and he likely sank all of the fantasy owners who relied on him in their playoffs. The Jets are tough, but Alexander should see plenty of looks now that Malcom Floyd is out. |
| WR | ![]() |
Robert Meachem2 rec, 30 yards
Meachem should get more involved in the Chargers’ passing game in Week 16 now that Malcom Floyd (ankle) is done for the season. Meachem is still not worth starting in fantasy, however, and he has been one of the biggest free agent busts of the season. |
| TE | ![]() |
Antonio Gates4 rec, 45 yards
Gates caught four passes for 31 yards and a touchdown against Carolina in Week 15. Gates hadn't scored since Week 10, but the Jets are average against tight ends. That makes the veteran a good bet in fantasy play this week. |
| K | ![]() |
Nick NovakPAT, 2 FGs
Novak had just one point in Week 15, kicking an extra point against the Panthers. He has six field goals and seven extra points in his past four games. |
| DEFENSE |
2 INTs, 2 Sacks
The Jets' defense played well against the Titans in Week 15, although they gave up the second-longest run from scrimmage in Monday Night Football history when Chris Johnson scored from 94 yards out. Even so, the Titans had just 294 total yards, and the Jets' defense is worth starting against a Chargers team without Ryan Mathews (clavicle). |

| QB | ![]() |
Greg McElroy175 pass yards, pass TD, 2 INTs
The Jets are going to the sophomore quarterback over veteran Mark Sanchez, at least for Week 16. The move makes sense and could be a preview of the Jets' plans for 2013. Even so, fantasy owners should not touch this situation. |
| QB | ![]() |
Tim Tebow15 pass yards, 20 rush yards
Tebow came in for a series against the Titans, throwing one incompletion, running for 15 yards and taking one sack. The Jets might end up using him more out of desperation against the Chargers, but fantasy owners would do well to steer clear of this situation during their playoffs. |
| RB | ![]() |
Shonn Greene80 rush yards, rush TD, 2 rec, 9 rec yards
Greene rushed 13 times for 68 yards at Tennessee and was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal offense in Week 15. The Chargers have allowed just seven rushing touchdowns this season, but Greene still looks like a good RB2 or flex play in Week 16. |
| RB | ![]() |
Bilal Powell34 rush yards, 2 rec, 25 rec yards
Powell fractured his toe a couple weeks ago, but he continues to play. He rushed six times for 28 yards at Tennessee in Week 15. Shonn Greene is playing well, so it would be tough for fantasy owners to rely on Powell. |
| WR | ![]() |
Jeremy Kerley4 rec, 45 yards
Kerley caught one pass for just 11 yards at Tennessee in Week 15. The Chargers have trouble against the pass, but this offense is struggling mightily. Look to Kerley as a WR3 in Week 16. |
| WR | ![]() |
Braylon Edwards4 rec, 40 yards
Edwards re-signed with the Jets last week, and he caught three passes for 47 yards to lead the team at Tennessee. This Jets offense is struggling mightily, however, and it's tough to rely on any Jets receiver in the fantasy playoffs. |
| WR | ![]() |
Stephen Hill2 rec, 27 yards
Hill missed Week 15 with a knee injury, but he might get a chance to play in Week 16. Even if he does, fantasy owners will want to steer clear until he proves he's healthy. |
| TE | ![]() |
Jeff Cumberland4 rec, 55 yards, rec TD
Cumberland led the Jets with four catches for 53 yards and a touchdown at Tennessee in Week 15. He's a speedy tight end who the Jets are beginning to use regularly. He has 11 catches for 173 yards and two touchdowns in his past four games. |
| K | ![]() |
Nick Folk2 PATs, 2 FGs
Folk made a 22-yard field goal and one extra point at Tennessee on Monday night. He has just five field goals and 10 extra points in his past six games. |
| DEFENSE |
2 INTs, 3 Sacks
San Diego had two sacks and forced one fumble against the Panthers in Week 15. Despite the lackluster outing, the Chargers have seven D/ST touchdowns this season, and they get a weak Jets offense in Week 16. |
