In 1988, Orel Hershiser pitched the Los Angeles Dodgers to a world championship and broke Don Drysdale's consecutive scoreless innings record (with 59). After recurring injuries and subsequent surgeries, Hershiser was traded to the Cleveland Indians in 1995. Now 38, Hershiser finished the 1996 season 15-9 with a 4.24 ERA.
