Super Bowl XI
Oakland 32, Minnesota 14
MVP: WR Fred Biletnikoff, Oakland
The Raiders ushered the Vikings to their place in the annals of the Super Bowl-frustrated by handing Minnesota its fourth Super Bowl loss. The game was even more lopsided than the score implied. Oakland won the game on the ground, with Clarence Davis picking up 137 of Oakland's 266 rushing yards as the Raider defense held Minnesota's 1,100 yard rusher Chuck Foreman to only 44. Biletnikoff caught four passes for 79 yards, including a 48 yard gain to set up the touchdown that put the game out of reach.
