Super Bowl XXVII
Dallas 52, Buffalo 17
MVP: QB Troy Aikman, Dallas
Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones, the NFL's own Punch and Judy, capped the renaissance of the Cowboys with their crushing defeat of Buffalo. The Cowboys were the beneficiaries of nine Bill turnovers, a Super Bowl record, and Dallas converted those turnovers into 35 points while handing the Bills their unprecedented third straight Super Bowl loss. Emmitt Smith ran for 108 yards on 22 carries, and Aikman completed 22 of 30 passes for 273 yards and four touchdowns.
