Scott, 47, baseball coach at Cypress Community College, and his brother Brad, 42, softball coach at the same school, each guided his team to a state community college title this spring. Scott's baseball team defeated Sacramento City College 7-4 in the championship game eight days after Brad's softball squad won its crown with a 5-0 win, also over the Panthers. It was the second time--the other was in 1991--that the brothers led Cypress to California crowns in the same year. In 13 seasons at Cypress, Scott has a 419-192-2 record, with state titles in '91, '94 and '97. In his 11 seasons Brad has a 470-153-1 mark, with California championships in '91 and '97.
