CALIF.
Tisinger, 39, a teaching pro, won the 35-plus world seniors
racquetball title for the fifth consecutive year by
defeating Lorraine Galloway, 35, of Jamaica Estates, N.Y.,
15-8, 15-8. Tisinger also won the U.S championship in her
division and the senior
nationals this
year.

Kimberly
Strong
NOTTINGHAM,
PA.
Gregg, 16, and Kimberly, 17, won their respective divisions
at the Greater Greensboro junior golf tournament. Gregg
birdied the second hole of a sudden-death playoff to win
the boys' 15-18 division after shooting a four-under-par
212 to tie with Andy
Crain, 18, of Goldsboro, N.C., and Damian Hale, 17, of
Maraval, Trinidad, after 54 holes. Kimberly shot a
four-over-par 220 to beat Laura Myerscough, 17, of
Charleston, Ill., by two strokes to prevail in the girls'
division. For Kimberly, it was her first
victory in an American Junior Golf Association tournament.
She finished second at the Tucker Anthony Classic earlier
this year.

INDIANAPOLIS
Chris, 14, a 6-foot point guard, led the Municipal Gardens
basketball team to a 47-0 record and the AAU national and
Youth Basketball of America international 14-and-under
titles by scoring 29.8 points a game. He averaged seven
assists and six rebounds
in 10 tournament
games.

MOUNT VERNON,
OHIO
Swanson, 45, coach of the Mount Vernon Nazarene College
volleyball team, earned his 400th career win with a
season-opening 15-1, 15-1, 15-4 victory over Oberlin
College. Since 1991 he has guided the Lady Cougars to a
69-match home winning streak, which
is an NAIA
record.

Johnson
SEATTLE
Johnson, 18, stroked the Mount Baker Rowing Club
girls' eight-oared boat to its third consecutive
title at the U.S. junior rowing championships. Mount Baker
covered the 2,000-meter course in 7:26 to beat the hometown
Cincinnati Juniors Club by two
seconds.
