Osborne, a senior outside hitter, and Rico, a senior
setter, led the Arkansas women's volleyball team, which has
existed for only four seasons, to a 25-5 regular-season
record and a No. 23 national ranking. During Osborne and
Rico's four years the Lady
Razorbacks have won the SEC Western division crown every
season. In a recent 3-0 defeat of Tennessee, Rico set
Osborne for her 2,000th career kill. During the 1997
regular season Osborne had 341 kills and 304 digs. Rico had
1,281 assists, 210 digs and
198 kills. Osborne, who attended Clark High, and Rico, who
attended Bonanza High, played against one another in high
school.

MOUNT CLEMENS,
MICH.
Robert, a senior at L'Anse Creuse High, played quarterback,
halfback, wide receiver, defensive tackle and kicker in
leading the Crusaders' football team to a 39-34 win over
Anchor Bay High. He passed for 309 yards, rushed for 356,
had 62 receiving, made
16 tackles and kicked two
PATs.

WEST CHESTER,
PA.
Ben, a senior at Henderson High, won the Class AAA state
cross-country championship. He ran the 5-km course in
15:45.85 to defeat runner-up Don Coval, a sophomore at
Council Rock High, by nine seconds. Ben's father, Bill, won
the same race as a junior
(1967) and senior
('68) at Milton
High.

Keiko
Tokuda
CLIFTON,
N.J.
Keiko, a senior at Clifton High, became the first tennis
player to win four New Jersey high school singles
championships. She defeated Maren Haus of Manasquan High
6-1, 6-2 for her latest title. Keiko, who finished her
varsity career with an 86-0
record, will play for Stanford next
year.

Jackie
MacLean
BILLERICA,
MASS.
MacLean, a freshman forward on the UMass-Lowell women's
soccer team, broke the River Hawks' women's single-season
scoring record with 36 points (17 goals and two assists).
She had three hats tricks, accounted for 83% of
UMass-Lowell's
offense and had the decisive goal in all six of its
wins.
