Art Harrington
WILLOW STREET, PA.
Harrington, 55, coached the Solanco High girls' cross-country
team to the Mares' second AAA state title. Since the team's
inception in 1985, Harrington has amassed a 263-12 record, eight
straight undefeated seasons and a winning streak of 177
consecutive regular-season meets.

Susie Hiniker
ANN ARBOR, MICH.
Hiniker, a senior at Pioneer High, won her third state Division
I girls' singles tennis championship by defeating Melanie
Remynse of Portage Northern High 6-1, 6-2. Hiniker, who ended
her high school career with an 86-0 record, plans to play for
Yale next year.

Aaron Nadler
SANTA CRUZ, CALIF.
Nadler, 38, won the American Poolplayers Association national
amateur championship. In the finale of the two-day,
double-elimination tournament, in which the contestants played
both eight ball and nine ball, Nadler defeated John Binion of
Detroit 11 games to seven.

Heather Murray
SHERWOOD PARK, ALBERTA
Murray, a senior striker, led the University of Alberta women's
soccer team to league and national titles. She scored the goal
in the CIAU Conference final to give the Pandas a 1-0 win over
the University of Calgary. At the nationals she had the goal in
Alberta's 1-0 defeat of the University of Ottawa.

Brad Cornelsen
TEXHOMA, OKLA.
Bootsie Washington
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.VA.
Cornelsen, a junior quarterback for Missouri Southern State,
became the first NCAA Division II player to pass for more than
4,000 yards and to rush for more than 2,000 in a career. His
totals were 4,186 and 2,134, respectively. This year he was
third among the division's quarterbacks in rushing and 17th in
total offense. Washington, a senior defensive back and special
teams player for Shepherd College, tied two Division II
single-season records by returning four punts for touchdowns and
by scoring six TDs by runback. In addition to his scoring punt
returns, he ran back a kickoff and an interception for touchdowns.
