Marion Jones proclaimed she would win five gold medals at the 2000 Olympic Games. Turns out she was just one word off. Competing in the 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump, 400 relay and 1,600 relay, the American sprint star became the first woman to win five track medals in one Olympics. She started in powerful fashion, dominating the 100 and 200 meters fields, then proved her true grit. The broad smile was missing, but the gracious attitude remained as Jones finished third in the long jump and stood by husband C.J. Hunter's side as he confronted a positive drug test. After winning bronze in the 400 relay, Jones capped the Games with a gold medal-winning anchor leg in the 1,600 relay that left competitors encouraging her to run the 400 meters. Could six medals be in her plans for 2004?
