Three-year starter and first team All-Conference selection last season after totaling69/5/8 with 66/3/5 as a junior when he was a second All-League choice. Suffered with a foot injury as a sophomore but still posted 45/1/3. Turned in a tremendous athletic performance at the combine.

Big, hard-hitting safety who may also project to weakside linebacker. Quick reading or anticipating the action, takes good angles to the ballcarrier and looks to mix it up with opponents. Strong at the point of attack, squares into his tackles, wrapping up and bringing the ballcarrier down on initial contact. Heady and alert in pass coverage, disciplined and displays adequate footwork and movement in his hips. Rarely gets beat in deep center field. Overall game lacks quickness, explosion and does not display great sideline-to-sideline range. Pass covers well in a small area and has the size to be brought into the defensive front seven. Combine results helped him immeasurably and moved him into the first day. Late Third Round.
