Selected by San Francisco 49ers in round 6, pick 29 (201 overall)
Height Weight 40 Grade
6'3½ 262 4.73 3.35
First-year starter that was an All-Conference selection last year after catching 35/357/10.2/3. Saw minimal starting action as a junior when his numbers were 10/78/7.8/0 and for the most part the third tight end for a program loaded at the position.

Solid, pass catching tight end that may finally be hitting his stride. Plays with forward lean, fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage and uses his body to shield away opponents. Good route runner that catches the ball with his hands away from his body, displaying strength running after the catch. Soft, reliable hands. Cognizant blocker that gives good effort in pass protection, showing above average footwork but overall not strong at the point of attack, blocks with minimal leverage and has difficulty finishing off defenders. Not quick off the snap, nor is he fast off the line of scrimmage. Has size potential and could be a serviceable player at the next level if he continues to progress. Late Sixth Round.
