Four-year starter that played with the first unit all but a single game during his college career. All-Conference selection as a senior when his numbers were 44/9/7, twice getting into the end zone on interception returns. Junior totals were 87/1/4 when again he got into the end zone twice following pickoffs and again, an All-Conference performer that season. 74/7/9 as a sophomore and has always been a special teams stand-out. Used at both free and strong safety. Did not work out at the combine but posted a 4.52 in individual workouts with 18 repetitions on the bench.

Opportunistic defensive back with a nose for the big play. Effectively reads or anticipates the action, takes good angles to the play and rarely caught out of position. Stays with his assignments, runs well laterally and fast to the flanks. Disciplined, quick to defend the run but also keeps the play in front of him. Terrific leader on the defense. Has a penchant for making the big play at the right time in the important game. Lacks the pure man-to-man cover skills and speed. Gambles on occasion and would rather play the ball than the man. Always productive in college and, for the most part, has not given up a lot of big plays always getting the job done. Late First Round.
