Two-year starter and a first team All-Conference selection last year, also winning some notoriety as an All-American player. Big East Special Teams Player of the Year in 2001 as well. Defensively finished the year with 24/5/7, averaging 31/15/2 on punt returns and 3/30/0 returning kicks. Took over the starting cornerback duties midway through his sophomore campaign and finished the year with 44/2/9 on defense, seeing only minimal time returning kicks or punts. Mostly a reserve as a true freshman.

Athletic cover corner that displays a tremendous feel for his position. Plays up at the line in press coverage, fluid in his hips turning to run with receivers and never losses his contact with the opponent. Aware of where he and the receiver is at all times on the field, positions himself to make a play on the ball, displaying great timing and anticipation of his pass defenses. Explosive moving on the pass and flashes on the scene. Gets up and adjusts in mid air to defend the throw, displaying good hands for the ball. Mixes it up against defending either screen or running plays. Tougher than one would think and plays with pain. Explosive punt returner that consistently picks up positive yardage when the ball is in his hands. Not as big or strong as you'd like in a corner, but still young and developing. A tremendous mix of athleticism, cover skills and football instincts. What stands out about him is his field awareness and wherewithal though he's been a starter less then two full seasons. A prospect with great upside potential and if he keeps progressing, a special player in the future. Early First Round.
