Quick thinking signal caller very much in the mold of recent BYU quarterbacks. Sets up in the pocket with solid fundamentals, throws with an over the top delivery and elusive. Gets outside the pocket to make plays on the move and avoids the rush. Puts air under his deep throws and places his corner routes nicely. Goes through his receiver progressions when given time in the pocket and shows an adequate intermediate passing arm. Lacks stature, size and easily brought down as the pocket collapses. Does not possess the big arm, loses a lot throwing on the move and cannot drive the ball down the field. Not patient as the pocket collapses around him, rarely buys time for his wideouts nor does he react well to pressure. Not accurate down the field and the longer the throw, the more scattered his passes are. Tends to step out of his throws or releases the pass off his back foot, which hurts both the velocity and accuracy of his tosses. Size/speed numbers will prevent him from being drafted but if he builds upon his senior campaign a potential third-string quarterback at the next level. Free Agent.
