Ryan Denney | DE | Brigham Young | Mountain West Conference
Selected by Buffalo Bills in round 2, pick 29 (61 overall)
Height Weight 40 Grade
6'7 276 4.86 3.81
Two-year starter and an All-Conference selection last year after totaling 68/19/6.5. Also intercepted a pass and broke up eight more. Again, All-Conference as a junior when his numbers were 47/14/4. Has won All-Academic honors several times in the past. Went on a Mormon Mission before entering BYU and will be 25 years old next September.

Athletic defensive end effective moving up the field or playing in space. Quick off the snap, breaks down well and keeps his feet moving forward. Effective moving laterally and strings plays out to the flanks. Disciplined, defends the run and stays within himself. Fluid and quick changing direction, redirects to the ballcarrier well and displays the ability to immediately alter his angle of attack. Goes very hard and gives top effort. Not big or bulky, stymied at the point of attack and lacks the flat out edge rushing speed. Driven off the line of scrimmage when opponents run directly at him. Had a solid senior campaign and should be effective as a four-three end. Helped himself prior to the draft with good workouts and moved into the first day. Mid Third Round.
