Three-year starter that played extensively as a true freshman. Led the team in tackles as a senior totaling 112/5/12, winning All-Conference honors. Posted 111/3/8 as a junior, when again he led the Buffaloes in tackles. 72/0/2 as a sophomore after 35 tackles his initial season in the program.

Tough, run defending safety that effectively covers the pass in the short field. Physical, likes to mix it up, and explosive moving up the field to defend either running or screen plays. Quick reading or anticipating the action, disciplined and does not get caught out of position. Fluid in his hips, moves well laterally and flows to the play. Rarely off his feet, displays a quick burst of closing speed and wraps up tackling, bringing the opponent down on initial contact. Unrefined with his overall cover skills and instincts; indecisive, has difficulty in man-to-man situations and lacks the fluid footwork going in reverse. Only average ball skills; constantly around the receiver and pass but until this year did not make many plays against the ball. Stepped it last season, capping his final campaign off with a good performance at the Senior Bowl. The end result will be a top 90 selection. Mid Third Round.
