Second team All-Conference selection as a senior after leading the team in tackles posting 107/10/2/1/0. Tore a knee ligament during the initial contest of the 2000 season which sidelined him for the year after totaling 109/3/12/0/6 as a red shirt junior, his first season with the first unit. Spent only three seasons on the football field.
Tough, run defending linebacker, forceful moving up the field. Hard hitting, works to get involved in the action and likes to intimidate the opponent. Strong at the point of attack, holds his ground against blocks or defeats them altogether and a wrap up tackler that easily brings the ballcarrier down on initial contact. Competitive and hard-working. Gets average depth on his pass drops displaying coverage skills in a very small area but for the most part lacks range, not fast moving laterally and has difficulty staying step for step with lesser tight ends. Lacks pursuit speed, does not redirect well nor does he play with good body control. Short and a little too one dimensional to impact the early part of the draft, but a solid late round choice and a competent backup at the next level. Late Fifth Round.
