Four-year starter and an All-Conference selection as a senior when he caught 52/759/14.6/4. Totaled 33/461/14.2/2 as a junior, after a sophomore season in which he originally won All-League honors totaling 38/391/10.3/4.

Complete tight end that has continually improved every facet of his game. Fundamentally sound in every aspect and took his blocking to another level as a senior. Breaks down well, plays with leverage and quick getting his hands into the opponent, extending his arms and keeping defenders away. Above-average footwork in pass protection, shows lateral range and efficient blocking the edge. Much better power and pop at the point of attack displaying the ability to sustain his blocks for long periods. Looks for someone to hit and helps out teammates. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, very aware in the open field and finds the soft spot in the defense. Comes back to the ball helping out the quarterback, reaches back to snare the errant throw or extends and plucks the high pass out of the air. Soft consistent hands, looks the ball in and takes a pounding yet still holds onto the ball. Strong running after the catch and keeps the play in bounds looking to pick up positive yardage. Good football intelligence. Not quick or explosive off the snap and must make better use of his blocking angles. Solid all around football player that could be starting by the end of his rookie year. Plays to his forty time but a good clocking prior to April could move him up boards. Late Third Round.
