All-Conference selection as a senior when he rushed for 216/1,109/5.1/12 and caught 9/129/14.3/1 in eight games. Played most of his junior season with a broken hand and carried the ball 243/930/3.8/11, while catching 16/142/8.9/1. Missed almost six games as a sophomore with a sprained ankle, finishing with 111/375/3.4/6 on the ground and 17/114/6.7/0 as a receiver. Impacted his first-year in the program when he started, won Freshman All-American honors and totaled 126/673/5.3/10 carrying the ball.

Productive, versatile runner thatís had to overcome a history of injury and fumbling problems. Intelligent, patient runner that shows vision, waits for his blocks to develop and finds the open hole in the defense. Quick footed, side-steps and eludes opponents in a small area, running with great body control. Slides off tackles, runs with good balance and picks up yardage off initial contact. Uses an effective straight arm, works his runs and falls forward when being tackled, picking up the extra yardage. Fluid, natural receiver and much better catching the ball than his statistics would lead you to believe. Does not run low to the ground and has an upright style which leaves him exposed and gets clobbered by opponents resulting in both injuries and fumbles. Lacks true corner speed and the ability to beat defenders to the flanks, cannot run to daylight and must pick up the intensity blocking. Looked like a star in the making as a freshman but injuries kept him from meeting what many felt was his true potential. Had a terrific Senior Bowl week which helped boost his draft ranking, but still a risky choice. Could be effective and productive if put in a system where he is not required to carry the ball 20 times a game but rather asked to handle it at least 15 times either both a runner and receiver. Early Second Round.
