Former walk-on that was voted team captain as a senior when he led the program in rushing. Finished the season with 126/691/5.5/7 and caught 19/242/12.7/2. Started only two games as a redshirt junior carrying the ball 10/46/4.6/1. Began his football career at Western Kentucky in '97. Used as both a feature runner and fullback last season.
Hard-working, tough back with a nice feel for the game. Displays vision carrying the ball, follows blocks and a patient runner that slides off defenders, picking up yardage off initial contact. Runs low to the ground, works his runs and keeps his feet chugging forward. Tough and plays through pain. Solid receiver out of the backfield. As a fullback he blocks with forward lean, leverage and effectively picks up blocking assignments. Displays quickness off the snap, pop at the point and attacks his blocks. Lacks overall speed running the ball, cannot cut it back and does not display top footwork blocking in pass protection. A solid backup who can be used as both a second fullback or third man on the depth chart at running back. Early Seventh Round.
