Two-year starter that spent time on the school's basketball team. All-Conference selection last year when he caught 39/549/14.1/6, all career numbers. Junior totals were 25/224/9/1 after catching 12 passes as a sophomore.

Big tight end that is a nice-sized target. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, moves well laterally and can extend or get up to make the reception. Big enough and strong enough to box-out opponents or win out to make the difficult grab. Adjusts nicely to the errant throw and reaches back for the pass thrown behind him. Blocks with forward lean, quick with his hands and stays square. Works his blocks until the whistle blows. No single outstanding skill to his game; not quick off the snap, lacks overall speed and not dominant in-line blocking. Plays a bit upright, lacks the consistent or soft hands and has difficulty finishing his blocks. Played well during Blue/Gray week but did not do enough to warrant a mid-round pick. Must improve his blocking strength and meet his size potential if he is to stay around the league for any period of time, but that alone makes him a good developmental prospect. Late Seventh Round.
