Athletic tight end prospect growing into his position. As a pass catcher he is fluid off the line of scrimmage, displays solid route-running skills and extends in a crowd to make the difficult catch. Reliable, looks the pass in and shows good eye/hand coordination. Adjusts well to the throw, catches the ball away from his body and runs good crossing routes making himself an available target for the quarterback. Breaks down well, plays with leverage and sets quickly in pass protection but can improve his overall footwork, strength and must learn to play to his size. Slowed off the line of scrimmage by jams, has difficulty finishing his blocks and does not use his frame to shield away opponents as a pass catcher. Saw minimal action prior to his senior campaign but stepped it up last year and headed in the right direction. Mid Fifth Round.
