Two-year starter and first team All-Conference selection after his junior campaign. Totaled 30/396/13.2/4 as a junior after 50/716/14.3/5 the prior year. Caught 9/112/12.4/0 as a true freshman when he played behind All-American tight end James Whalen.

Productive pass catcher in college that must now turn into a complete tight end. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, displays solid eye/hand coordination and looks the pass in. Extends nicely to grab the high throw or catches the ball in stride. Uses his frame to shield away opponents or fights with his hands to come free and get separation. Goes over the middle and extends to make the difficult grab. Works to pick up positive yardage running after the catch but not fast down the field nor does he keep his momentum running laterally. Less than adequate blocking skills; not quick off the snap, does not attack his blocks and taken off the field on obvious running situations. Has difficulty adjusting to make the errant throw. Poor workouts at the combine coupled with minimal blocking skills could equate to a long drop down draft boards. Late Fifth Round.
