Won an array of awards and has broken numerous records since his sophomore season when he moved into the starting lineup. All-American, All-Conference and Biletnikoff Award Winner last year as a redshirt junior after catching 94/1,740/18.5/7 in twelve games. Led the conference in receptions, receiving yards and also the LSU career leader in receiving yards. Set Sugar Bowl records last January for both receptions in the game with 14, and receiving yards with 239. First team All-Conference selection the prior year when his numbers were 65/1,127/17.3/10 over the course of eleven games. Used as both a return specialist and running back his first-year on the active roster.
Natural receiver with tremendous production and a great feel for the game. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, sells his routes and gets separation from the opponent. Finds the open spot in the field, makes himself an available target and uses his body to shield away opponents and protect the pass. Keeps total focus and concentration throughout the play, displays excellent timing and anticipation of the reception and almost clairvoyant reading defenses, sneaking it downfield behind opponents on more than one occasion during the course of a game. Extends his hands, catches the ball away from his body and plucks the high pass out of the air. Makes the difficult catch in traffic with as much consistency as he does the easy reception. Double-teamed by opponents but uses effective hand technique to come free. Patient running after the catch, keeps the play in bounds and works to pick up positive yardage. Not quick in or out of his breaks, lacks overall speed and rarely beating defenders in a foot race down the flanks. His natural feel for the game and ability to make all the catches at any time during the contest could push him into the late first round regardless of how poor he runs in a game. Late First Round.
