Three-year starter also a collegiate track and field champion. Second team All-Conference choice last season after leading the team in receiving totaling 53/733/13.8/1. First team All-Conference choice as a junior when he totaled 71/1,098/15.5/15. A second team All-Conference selection as a redshirt sophomore when his numbers were 60/881/14.7/9. Has seen action as a return specialist throughout college. All-American sprinter part of the 4x100 UTEP relay team that won the 1999 NCAA outdoor title.
Productive wideout that's been UTEP's go-to guy the past three seasons. Natural receiver, times and anticipates his receptions well, adjusts to the throw and easily makes the reception running full tilt. Looks the ball into his hands, quick transitioning to run after the catch and displays a burst of acceleration. Gets up vertically to grab the high throw and overall displays natural receiving skills. Not quick or explosive, does not translate his track and field speed onto the football field and loses his focus, dropping too many catchable throws at times. Though sized well not an aggressive receiver and loses out in battles against better opponents. Caught the ball well at the combine and if he learns to use his sprinter speed on the football field could be a real threat at the next level. Early Fifth Round.
