Former Texas A&M transfer moved in and out of the starting lineup the past two seasons. Played in seven games last season catching 19/310/16.3/5 after 4/42/10.5/1 his first-year with the program. Brother of Aaron Schobel, the Bills second round choice in April, 2001.

Athletic prospect that must start to transfer his skills onto the football field a become a complete player. Breaks down well, blocks with solid fundamentals and gets leverage on opponents. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, displays adequate route running skills and nice tight end speed. Finds the open spot on the field and makes plays in the defensive secondary. Comes back to the ball, extends in a crowd and looks the pass in. Adjusts well to the errant throw, keeps his focus and displays consistent hands. Lacks functional blocking strength, slow getting off jams and really does not play to his size. Spent five years in college but last season was the only one in which he saw extensive time on the playing field. Must work on his overall football skills and start making more plays but a solid long term developmental prospect. Late Sixth Round.
