Tough run defender that may have finally found a home at linebacker. Disciplined, quick in his head and stays with his assignments. Strong at the point of attack, holds his ground against blocks and easily brings ballcarriers down on initial contact. Takes good angles to the action and displays a burst of speed, making plays up and down the line of scrimmage. Lacks the fluid and quick change of direction, overall speed and does not redirect to the ballcarrier well. Cannot sustain his speed and has limited range in pass coverage. If he learns to run and cover his ultimate position could be on the strong-side. Regardless, he went from a non-entity last September to a middle round choice after his senior season.
