Sprint champion and brother to former Kansas State star Kevin Lockett. Four-year starter and team's leading receiver as a senior when his numbers were 24/357/14.9/3. Also averaged 32/10.8/0 returning punts and 14/28.4/1 on kick returns. Receiving numbers were 36/584/16.2/2 as a junior when he also totaled 22/22.8/3 returning punts. Second team All-Conference selection his sophomore campaign after registering 33/531/16.1/3 catching the ball. Recorded 44/928/21.1/6 as a redshirt freshman, his most productive season to date.
Quick, elusive ball handler that could be a valuable return specialist at the next level. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, fast and has a second gear which he uses to stretch defenses down the field. Good route runner that displays quickness in and out of his breaks, stays low exiting them and positions himself to make the reception. Also times and anticipates his receptions well. Displays speed moving laterally, gets open and makes himself an available target for the quarterback. Quickly impacts the game with either a long reception or an even larger return on special teams. Small in stature and plays that way; protects himself and gathers into the reception if he is going to get hit, almost exclusively body catches the pass and displays minimal skills as a downfield blocker. His ability to beat defenders in the open field or elude them when the ball is in his hands will give him late round consideration. Early Seventh Round.
