Former wide receiver that moved to safety as a redshirt junior and proceeded to start the next two seasons. Totaled 63/3/7 as a senior after 75/2/7 the prior year.

Big, aggressive run-defending safety. Quick moving up the field, displays a burst of speed in a straight line and explosive stopping either screen or running plays. Squares into his tackles, wraps up and a hard hitting defender that flies around the ball. Makes plays out to the sidelines displaying speed moving laterally. Disciplined, does not bite on either the run action or play-action, nor does he get caught out of position. Stiff, lacks a quick or fluid change of direction and does not effectively redirect to the ballcarrier. Slow reacting when the ball is in the air and does not make many plays against the pass. Lacks the great footwork and hip movement and usually a half-step late covering deep center field. Solid prospect when both his assignments and area responsibilities are kept to a minimum. Late Fifth Round.
