Three-year starter that began his career at running back. Second team All-Conference selection as a senior when his numbers were 71/1/1 after 78/1/4 as a junior. Played both free safety and the "Dog" position at Mississippi State, a highbred linebacker/safety position. Suffered a major knee injury at the end of his junior campaign.

Nice-sized, athletic safety that likes to mix it up and get involved in the action. Strong at the point of attack, slows opponents up off the snap of the ball and a hard hitter who looks to tee-off on opponents and intimidate them. Displays adequate discipline staying with his coverage assignments, reads the quarterback and has a nice break on the ball. Moves well laterally pursuing the action, has a closing burst of speed and flashes on the scene. Played a tentative brand of football as a senior and did not look as though he had fully recovered from the prior knee injury. Lacked instincts, late reacting to the play and over-ran the action. Slow shedding blocks and just seemed to play back on his heels most of the season. Previously displayed adequate cover techniques but did get burnt as a senior. Lingering effects of his knee injury which halted the development of his pass cover skills will knock him late into the first day. Late Third Round.
