Bryan Thomas
Conference USA
Four-year starter that won All-Conference honors the past two seasons. Totaled 41/21/14 as a senior after 45/16/10 the prior year. Sophomore totals were 31/12/5 after 26/7/6 as a true freshman. Has led the team in sacks each of the past four seasons, holding career records for both the school and conference with 35.

Explosive defensive end on a straight line up draft boards since the start of his senior season. Good athlete that explodes off the snap with a tremendous first step, rushes the edge with speed and wreaks havoc in the opponents backfield. Plays with excellent forward lean, agile and makes plays laterally out to the sidelines. Fast moving in every angle, relentless in his pursuit of the ballcarrier and gives top effort. Uses his hands to keep opponents off him and though he has a slim build, deceptively strong. Holds his ground against blocks, stays on his feet and makes plays defending the run as well as rushing the passer. Productive special teams player that has blocked kicks in the past. Not big, engulfed by larger opponents and not the most instinctive. A bit slow locating the action and takes a few too many steps at times. Had an impressive showing at the Senior Bowl when he thrived against better competition then capped it off with a tremendous combine workout. Has a lot of upside potential and is a good kid more than willing to put in the effort to meet his upper most limit. His performances in the post season enhanced his draft ranking almost a full round and he could surprise on draft day. Late First Round.
