Starter much of the past two seasons after transferring in ‘99. Totaled 55/5/1 as a senior after 54/4/1 during his junior season suffering with leg injuries most of the year. Made an impact his first-year in the program with numbers of 41/2/2 during the '99 season.
Big, athletic prospect who is still developing his football skills. Quick off the snap, breaks down well and a load in the middle of the line. Constantly double teamed by opponents and displays excellent power bull-rushing opponents off the line. Moves well laterally, makes plays to the flanks and has a burst of speed bearing down on the ballcarrier. Rarely off his feet and overall athleticism is impressive. Lacks overall football instincts and techniques. Gets upright, not effective using his hands and an easy target for opponents to block. Slow locating the ball or anticipating the action, and not a cognizant lineman. Must improve his conditioning as he'll wear down. Better athlete than football player to this point and did not take his game to the next level as many had hoped he'd do last season. Needs to be tooled in the basic fundamentals and will be a productive player at the next level if he accomplishes that task. Late Second Round.
