Three-year starter at defensive end that saw extensive playing action as a redshirt freshman. Totaled 49/5/1 as a senior after 43/7/2 the prior season and 30/6/4 as a sophomore.

Tremendous athlete yet to break out as a football player. Smooth and fluid in all aspects of his game, moves well laterally and displays great range, covering a large amount of area on the field. Breaks down well, plays with leverage and strong at the point of attack. Holds his ground against blocks displaying the ability to get off them and has a quick burst of closing speed bearing down on the ballcarrier. Works hard, makes plays out to the flanks and relatively effective defending the run. Lacks the great first step off the snap, does not protect himself and lets opponents inside him. Hesitant, slow locating the ball and lacks overall football instincts. Does not make as many plays behind the line of scrimmage as he should. Showed tremendous promise early in his college career and blew coaches away with fantastic athletic workouts but has never translated those skills fully on to the football field. Could have moved into the early part of the draft with a big senior season, or even a good showing at the Senior Bowl, but neither has happened and as a result he'll fall out of the first day. Late Fourth Round.
