Two-year starter and an All-Conference choice as both a senior and junior. Totaled 76/3/8 last season after 83/2/9 the prior year. Rotated into the first unit as a true sophomore when he posted 41/4/0.

Alert defensive back effective covering center field. Quick reading or anticipating the action, displays adequate sideline-to-sideline range and takes good angles to the action. Plays with a large degree of intelligence, instinctive and does not get beat deep. Displays good hands going for the pick and also squares and wraps up tackling. Not explosive, fast and lacks a closing burst to the ballcarrier. Picked up the tempo in run defense as a senior but still has room for improvement. Pass cover skills and instincts make him attractive but does not stand out and is a mid-round pick in a draft deep with safeties. Late Fourth Round.
