Athletic collegiate defensive end will be moved to outside linebacker at the next level. Plays low to the ground with leverage, rushes the edge with speed displaying a quick and fluid change of direction. Pursuing the action from the backside with speed and fast from every angle. Can twist or stunt, displays a solid inside move and a burst of closing speed bearing down on the ball. Uses his hands to keep opponents off him, breaks down well and covers a good amount of area. Effective off the line of scrimmage and playing in space. Works hard and if he can't get off blocks he gets his hands to bat away the pass. Undersized as a defensive end, lacks the great first step and easily knocked off his angle of attack by bigger opponents. Takes wide angles around lineman and somewhat slow locating the ball. Too good of an athlete and person not to succeed; should be able to handle the functions of a strong side linebacker in time but in the early stages of his career, a situational pass rusher and special teams player.
