Two-year starter that action at both tackle positions as well as right guard. Originally started his college career on the defensive line before switching sides as a redshirt freshman. Used at both right guard and right tackle as a senior.
Nice-sized lineman best in confined quarters. Breaks down well, stays square and keeps the opponent in front of him. Relatively quick off the snap, strong at the point of attack and gets movement from his run blocks. Turns opponents out or blocks down on defenders well. Not a natural knee bender but plays with a wide base, uses solid body positioning and gets leverage on opponents. Keeps his feet active and displays the ability to shuffle and slide in a small area. Lacks body adjustment, not effective moving in space and has great difficulty blocking on the second level. Has some size potential and his mauling style leads you to believe his best position could be at right guard. Solid backup prospect at the next level that could eventually move into a starting role a year or two into his career. Late Fifth Round.
