All-Conference selection that broke into the starting lineup midway through his freshman campaign. Led the team in tackles last season with 124, also registering 13 tackles for loss and breaking up six passes. Again, led the team in tackles as a junior with 111, after 74 tackles his sophomore season.

Smart, disciplined linebacker that diagnoses plays as they are unfolding. Quick to react, takes good angles to the action, filling the right gaps in run defense. Strong at the point, slides off blocks and flies around the ball, working hard to make the play. Versatile and has seen action at every linebacker position on the field. Immediately recognizes his assignments in pass defense and solid in zone coverage. Technique tackler that squares into the ballcarrier and wraps up. Lacks overall speed, quickness and explosion. Moves laterally to the sideline but not fast to the flanks, lacks range in pass coverage and not all that effective playing in space. Versatility and competitiveness are keys as he should be an adequate backup at the next level. Late Fifth Round.
