Former walk-on who primarily saw duty on special teams prior to his senior campaign. Had a breakout year last season, and was a second team All-Conference choice after leading the team in tackles posting 131/10/3/1/5.
Hard-working linebacker who may just be hitting his stride. Heady, reads and anticipates the action, taking good angles to the play and quickly filling the gaps in run defense. Pursues with speed from all directions of the field, gets to the sidelines and goes hard all game long. Looks relatively athletic and plays that way. Much better defending the pass than his numbers dictate and constantly throwing his body into the mix, getting involved in the action. Not big or strong, slow shedding blocks and has trouble when he must immediately alter his angle of attack. Based off his senior season and combine workouts, may have some real potential at the next level as a weakside linebacker. Early Fifth Round.
