Three-year starter used at both inside and outside linebacker. All-Conference selection the past two seasons, leading the team in tackles during both campaigns. Finished his senior season with 121/18/4.5/1/2, after 103/6/1.5/2/5 the prior year. Has done some punting for the team in the past.

Tough, high-revving prospect that plays a smart brand of football. Diagnoses the action before the play unfolds, takes great angles to the ballcarrier and displays a short burst of speed. Moves well laterally, quick changing his angle of attack and effectively pursues to the play. Quick filling the gaps, forces the action up the field and flies around the football. Squares into his tackles and wraps up. Not quick or explosive but gets the job done. Lacks the flat out speed and range in pass defense, small and slowed by blocks. At this point in time tough predict that this prospect will be a starter in the future. Not big for an inside linebacker and lacks the speed for the weak side. Still, should be a competent backup who will flourish on special teams. Early Sixth Round.
