Tenacious defensive back who can be effective at either corner or safety. Smooth in his hips turning to run with opponents, positions himself nicely to make a play on the ball and fights hard to break up the pass. Very aware and alert; cognizant of his assignments, quick locating the pass in the air and displays a nice move on the ball when attempting to defend the throw. Swift moving up the field to help defend the run and a hard hitter that throws his body around the play. Minimal speed and quickness to his game; cannot run downfield with opponents, has difficulty following them out of their breaks and struggles in man-to-man coverage against fast wide outs. A bit slow to react at times which compounds the problem. Solid prospect in the secondary based on the way he approaches the game and his appetite for contact. Inability to run will push him down draft boards but could surprise for a team next year. Mid Seventh Round.
