Four-year starter and second team All-Conference selection as a senior. Led the team in tackles last season with 126/4/7 after 55/1/6 as a junior, when he missed two games with injuries. Sophomore numbers were 97/2/6, which placed him second on the team in tackles behind former first round choice Keith Bullock.

Big, physical defensive back that needs to improve his play against the pass. Solid athlete with a tremendous burst of straight-line closing speed and strength at the point of attack. Uses his frame to box out or out-muscle opponents, hard hitting and tries to intimidate opponents. Takes good angles to the action, moves well laterally and displays both catch-up and recovery speed. At this point better athlete than football player; does not read or anticipate the action, a little too quick coming up the field to defend the run and over-pursues the play, getting caught out of position. Not quick picking up his assignments in zone coverage and though he likes to fly around the ball, does more grab tackling than anything else. Ran some disappointing times at the combine. Solid strong safety prospect at the next level that should flourish on special teams and could be a dominant prospect if his mental skills ever reach the same level as his athletic abilities. Late Sixth Round.
