Former Kentucky transfer that set an array of Division II passing records. Threw for 70.1%/4,037/52/14 as a senior despite having played the full 60 minutes in only three games. All-Conference, All-American and recipient of the Harlon Hill Trophy which is awarded to the NCAA Division II College Football Player of the Year. Junior totals were 71.9%/4,126/55/8 when he originally won the Harlon Hill Trophy and was voted All-American and All-Conference for the first time. Replaced Tim Couch at Kentucky as a redshirt sophomore in '99 and threw for 65.1%/3,266/26/13, leading the SEC in pass efficiency. Later transferred after having his starting job taken away from him.

Smart and productive collegiate quarterback that lacks the pure physical skills necessary to make it at the next level. Patient and poised in the pocket, buys time for his receivers and works to make something positive happen. Accurate, places his throws in front of wideouts or lets them run to the ball. Zips his short throws and for the most part does not force his passes. Has a tall, slender build, lacks the big arm and quick release. Takes a while to set up in the pocket, does not sense pressure nor can he elude the rush. Does not display the ability to zip the outs or drive his passes down the field. Always benefited from playing in a pass happy, wide open offense which enhanced his production numbers. Celebrated college prospect that will spend most of his time on the sidelines at the next level and more than likely, bounce around the league. Free Agent.
