Undersized but athletic linebacker best defending the run. Quick reading or anticipating the action, forceful moving up the field and takes good angles to the ballcarrier. Scrapes well laterally, slides off blocks and squares into his tackles, bringing down the ballcarrier on initial contact. Plays with leverage, breaks down well and works hard. Does not flash on the scene and only minimal skills in pass defense. Does not get depth on his drops and lacks the closing burst of speed. Size and athleticism dictate a move to weak side linebacker but he must really pick up the tempo of his pass cover skills. Mid Fifth Round.
