Terrific athlete that must refine his cover skills. Plays to his 40-time, easily runs downfield with opponents and displays the ability to stay with receivers as they exit their breaks. Works to defend the pass, has a nice move on the ball and gets a hand in to deflect away the throw. Excellent closing and recovery speed. Lacks overall cover instincts, techniques and ball skills. Bites on receivers moves, slow locating the pass in the air and haphazard in his movements. Does not display the great body control and though athletic, a bit erratic. Got by on a small-school level because he was a big fish in a small pond but must refine and iron out all of his techniques. Has the underlying skills to work with but may be best served spending a year on a practice squad and a season in Europe. Late Fifth Round.
