Former Alabama transfer that played extensively with the first unit since he was a true freshman. Finished his senior season with 51/4/1.5/2/7 after 33/0/1/1/8, the prior year, his first in a Gator uniform. Posted 46 tackles as a true freshman at Alabama when he started six games with 76 tackles the following season. Has had problems with both knee and shoulder injuries in the past.
Heady, tenacious linebacker best defending the run. Displays a nose for the football, quick filling the gaps up the field and gets to the ballcarrier. Efficient, does not waste movement and takes excellent angles to the action. Disciplined, does not bite on play-action passes and covers well in a small area. Stays on his feet but slow shedding blocks, not effective moving laterally and has minimal range in pass defense. Overall game lacks speed and explosion. Makes up for his physical deficiencies with brains and a feel for the game but it may not be enough for him to be anything other than a marginal backup at the next level. Free Agent.
