Offensive Player of the Year in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference last season when he passed for 61.5%/2,778/25/5, also winning All-Academic honors. Junior numbers were 59.7%/1,975/21/4 when once again he was the conference Offensive Player of the Year. Impact player his first season with the program after passing for 60.5%/2,386/21/6 as a red shirt sophomore.
Athletic signal caller that makes plays in or out of the pocket. Quick setting up to deliver the ball And displays solid footwork. Patient in the pocket, buys time for his receivers and senses pressure, stepping up to avoid it, or eluding the rush altogether. Gets outside the tackle and loses nothing on his passes throwing on the run or makes plays with his legs when pulling the ball down and taking it up the field. Sells his run action or play-action passes, quick releasing the ball and displays nice overall arm strength. Zips the intermediate passes displaying accuracy, effective when he throws with an over the top delivery and very poised, not panicking or making bad decisions if the play breaks down. Lacks the fluid delivery, often short-arms his passes and starts the throwing motion by his ear. Falls out of his throws and the spirals are not tight. Lacks stature in the pocket and brought down easily by opponents. Takes an extra hop throwing off a three-step drop, which slows his delivery. Has been productive at a lower level of competition but at the same time, got away with poor throwing fundamentals which will not happen at the next level. Needs to iron out the rough edges in his technique but a solid intermediate range passer who will be given consideration next year in camp. Free Agent.
