Brother to former-Arizona Cardinal wideout Rob Moore. Saw extensive action at both inside and outside linebacker in Oklahoma. Moved to a full-time starting position as a senior and posted numbers of 36/3/1/1/0. Missed the 2000 season with a back injury, after totaling 22 tackles as a junior in 1999. Best season was his sophomore campaign when he spent the season at middle linebacker and the numbers were 67/3/10.
Athletic linebacker best on the strong side. Breaks down well, uses solid technique to get off blocks and stays on his feet. Scrapes well laterally, displays quickness to the flanks and a hard hitter that lays his helmet into opponents looking to intimidate them. Decent range and covers a good amount of area dropping into pass coverage but mainly used at the line of scrimmage and for the most part taken off the field on passing downs. A bit slow to react or diagnose the action in pass defense and did not distinguish himself during coverage drills at the Senior Bowl. If he learns to translate his athletic abilities fully onto the football field he has a good shot. Shorter and smaller than what you'd like for the strong side linebacker but may not have the pure instincts to play on the inside. Solid developmental prospect. Early Seventh Round.
